Medical Staff

Rich Simmons, M.D. Dr. Simmons graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his nephrology fellowship at Stanford University. He joined the practice in 1989. Dr. Simmons’ hobbies include hiking and sailing. Kevin Muelken, M.D. Dr. Muelken received his medical degree and completed his Nephrology fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He joined the practice in 2003. Dr. Muelken and his family enjoy the outdoors and spend time skiing and hiking. Mark Teruel, M.D. Dr. Teruel and his family moved to Fort Collins and joined The Nephrology Clinic in August 2005. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Vermont. Dr. Teruel takes advantage of the wonderful outdoor opportunities in Colorado and enjoys skiing, biking, and running. Jason Merritt, M.D. Dr. Merritt joined the practice in 2007 after practicing in Virginia for a few years. He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Merritt enjoys skiing and traveling. Nilesh Ahuja, M.D. Dr. Ahuja attended medical school in Syracuse New York and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver.  He enjoys snowboarding, kayaking, biking and playing soccer.  Dr. Ahuja joined the practice in 2012. Will Lefler, M.D. Dr. Lefler joined the practice in August 2014 after completing his Nephrology fellowship at Duke University.  He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.  Dr. Lefler and his wife enjoy backpacking, running and other outdoor activities.  Ashwin Ganta, M.D. Dr. Ganta completed his nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.  He moved with his family to Fort Collins in August 2016 after 3 years of practice in Georgia.  Dr. Ganta and his family enjoy travel and the culinary arts. Lindsey Goetz, M.D. Dr. Goetz was born and raised in Colorado.  She attended medical school and nephrology fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  Dr. Goetz enjoys travel, photography, playing the piano and interior design.  She joined the practice in August 2016. Pam Holler, NP-C  Pam joined the practice in May 2005.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Regis University and completed her master’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado.  Pam has years of experience working with patients with kidney disease.  She and her husband enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities.  Blake Hill, PA-C  Blake joined The Nephrology Clinic in 2013.  He has practiced as a Certified Physician Assistant since graduation in 2009.  Blake enjoys fishing, the martial arts, and spending time with his family pursuing a variety of adventures. Stacy Williams, NP-C Stacy joined the practice in June 2016 after completing her Nurse Practitioner training at the University of Northern Colorado.  She worked as a dialysis nurse prior to joining the medical staff.  Stacy and her family enjoy spending time together in the mountains and traveling.
